Bio The Go Twos are a dynamic band blending the rich musical traditions that are modern acoustic 'AltFolk'. Fronted by accomplished musician and vocalist Rosie McDonald who was also the Bundanoon Folk Festival Artistic Director for first 3 years . Rosie is known for her rhythmic guitar work and soulful alto voice. Multi instrumentalist Composer, Producer , Singer and all round amazing musician Ann Palumbo, brings powerful double bass grooves, mandolin and sublime vocals and harmonies to the mix. Quentin Fraser, a versatile musician whose mastery on Dobro and flat picked and electric guitar adds depth and vibrancy to their performance . All well known in their own right and through various line ups, the collective musical pedigree is impressive. The Go Twos began as a collaboration between Rosie her true love and life partner Nigel Lever - renowned Bluegrass guitarist, mandolin player and singer who tragically and unexpectedly passed away in Dec 2025. The culmination of their work was the lovingly crafted album Kurrawarra that will finally be launched in 2026 along with other favourite songs and tunes. The Album has been released on Bandcamp and AMRAP and soon to be available on all the streaming platforms - 3 singkes are currently available on Spotify etc.
The Go Twos continue to support Rosie in this new mode and carve a unique place in the contemporary folk scene , having performed as a quartet at many festivals and now as a trio. Rosie played the Top half Festival-NT outside Alice Spirngs in May 2026 . The Go Twos performed at St Albans Folk festival 2026, The Troubadour folk club in May and Winter Fest Medieval Festival in July 2026 .
